Archie

Thank you so much for having Archie this weekend.  He obviously feels at home at yours and we could see from the photos what fun he has.  He came home very tired and very well behaved!

Monty

Annie is officially Bristol’s dog whisperer!

We rescued Monty from the RSPCA when he was three months old.  As first time dog owners with a complete live wire on our hands Annie was fantastic at helping us train him in her cadet class, and he was a completely different dog at the end of the six-week course.

Annie also takes Monty for day care quite regularly and he has an amazing time with her cockerpoos Mr Brambles and Lupin, and whoever else is along for the walk that day.  In fact he always looks a bit disappointed to be coming home!

Pair all of that with his personalised birthday card and the time Annie invested in finding out what breed he was for us, we consider ourselves very lucky to have found Cannie Canines.

Pippa

Our puppy cockapoo, Pippa, started life very anxiously partly due to a nasty experience with another dog and partly due to our own anxiety re having our first dog. Annie at Cannie Canines intervened and helped Pippa with socialisation, but also helped us as a family get much more confident with Pippa around other dogs and very soon we were all enjoying walks rather than worrying about them.

Since then Annie has helped us with other training issues and we would not hesitate to recommend Cannie Canines to help with training your dog.

Annie also regularly takes Pippa out for group walks and this is usually the highlight of Pippa’s week! Annie and her own cockapoos are now Pippa’s second family and we feel very lucky to have them on board.

Cannie Canines dog training

Boose

Boose is my first dog so from day one Annie was a massive and essential support. Boose and I both needed training and with Annie’s kind and caring nature we were both looked after splendidly. Being with other pups in those early days was really key to his socialisation and whilst he’s matured into a dominant fellow he is completely trustworthy in every scenario and has learnt to defer to me in all situations.

Annie has been fabulous, coping with my erratic logistical demands and Boose’s teenage traumas! When he did begin pushing boundaries, Annie took the initiative and encouraged Boose and I to begin a short series of special training sessions so we could further imprint his naturally charming personality.

Boose has a great pack of mates who he loves visiting and I have real peace of mind and a canine companion who is confident, biddable, trustworthy, obedient and calm (yes that’s right, a calm adolescent springer spaniel!).

Titch and Pete

Cannie Canines offer an excellent service looking after Pete and Titch (rescue terriers) both for walks during the week and stays over weekends.  I have complete confidence in Annie, and Pete and Titch are always very happy, and very tired, after their time with the Cannie Canines gang. 100% recommended.

Red

We recently used Cannie Canines home boarding service for the first time, as we were not keen on kennels.

I (Nikki) met with Annie and her dogs in the local park to ensure everyone got on.  Initially, I had concerns as Red is a very energetic, boisterous one-year-old Boxer, who doesn’t always do as she is told!  Within minutes, Red was playing with Lupin and Brambles and going straight to Annie when called.

This immediately put my mind at rest and Red spent a week with Cannie Canines.  With regular updates and photographs on Twitter, we could see exactly what our best friend was up to.  We even received a postcard from Red on the beach when we got back from our holiday!

Annie’s collection and drop off service is of great value, especially after a long journey ourselves.  Red is now much stronger on recall and generally better behaved since returning from her stay with Cannie Canines.

Our only concern is that Red had a better holiday than we did!

She is already looking forward to her next holiday with Annie and the gang, and I have recommended Cannie Canines to all my dog owning friends.

Oakley

Oakley is a dog that loves everyone and everything.  When we go away he stays with Cannie Canines, and there really is nothing he loves more!  We feel more than confident that he is in safe hands and know he will have a fantastic time.  Annie is careful to ensure Oakley has everything he needs, and knows just what he likes.  Oakley is not shy of mud and water, which is no bother to Annie who lets him have his fun.  We would definitely recommend Cannie Canines to anyone.

Bracken, Meryl’s older dog

Cassie, Meryl’s younger dog

I have known Annie for many years and she has helped greatly with my two rescue dogs, both collie crosses. One was older and very nervous who needed lots of encouragement and the other is the exact opposite – very boisterous, noisy and full on.

In both cases Annie’s calming approach with lots of praise and encouragement meant that they came back from their walks and holidays, tired out but happy.

I noticed a marked improvement in their recall and both now walk calmly on the lead.

Annie is reliable, trustworthy and has a keen understanding of dogs and their owners; she certainly gave me a few pointers which have proved invaluable. Thanks also for the photos, much appreciated.

I fully recommend Cannie Canine’s services, my dogs adore Annie and she really brings out the best in them.

Cocoa

Cocoa, our young labrador cross was delighted to be taken for walks by Annie, in particular going for a swim to Paradise Bottom at Leigh Woods.

Thomas

I recently adopted a fantastic Parson Jack Russell Terrier called Thomas from the RSPCA.  From the outset we had real issues with recall.  We’d tried many different things but nothing worked.  When Annie offered to help, things improved immensely.  She explained the importance of building a bond with Thomas and providing him with lots of incentive to come back.  I was skeptical about this but it made a big difference, it meant we caught his attention and his initial reaction was to come back.  There were many tips she gave, but what I found worked for me and my partner was having Annie by our side instructing us on how to react.  It’s early days, but his recall is much better and now it’s all about confidence, trust and practice (on both sides!).  I think Annie has a real natural instinct when it comes to training dogs, and plenty of experience to prove that her methods work.  I recommend her highly.  You can tell that both her dogs respect and adore her and isn’t that what all dog lovers aim for?

Cocoa and Blue

When I go away for holidays or weekends, I use Cannie Canines to look after my two young cats (Cocoa and Blue).  Annie cares for our cats as if they are her own.  I feel completely confident in the excellent service she offers, and feel relaxed while away that they are being fed, played with and even groomed! I would highly recommend Cannie Canines to anyone.

Raddish and Lettuce

I have two rabbits called Raddish and Lettuce and when I’ve been on holidays in the past Cannie Canines have looked after them.  Annie was brilliant and I could just relax because I knew they were being well looked after and well loved.  Cannie Canines have looked after my rabbits a few times and I would recommend their services to everyone.
